- May 9th 2025 - Professor Wang Chuan delivered an enlightening talk on visual art examining the mythical creatures from the ancient classic 'Classic of Mountains and Seas' (Shanhai Jing)

- October 25th, 2024 - Dr Jackie Jia Lou from Birkbeck, University of London, joined us to explore the 'slices of time' embedded in the linguistic landscapes of Washington, D.C., and London’s Chinatowns. Dr. Lou shared her experiences of immersing herself in the daily life of these communities to understand the perspectives and practices of those who live and work there
- July 12th, 2024 - the 8th session of the Modern Chinese literature Online Book Club discussed 'Notes from a Consulting Room' (诊疗室手记)by Sophie Zuo Fei (昨非)
May 23rd, 2024 - 'China's Transformation in the Anthropocene' . A public talk from Professor Stephen Peake and Dr James Warren from The Open University, who will discuss the role of China on the environment in an ever changing world, in particular China’s transformation towards a greener economy.
