The Virtual Exchange (VE) China Hub is an initiative designed to promote virtual collaboration between educational institutions in China and around the globe. This hub was launched by Regina Brautlacht, Presidential Commissioner for Global Digital Learning at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Dr. Mirjam Hauck, President of EUROCALL and Academic Co-Lead for AI in Learning, Teaching and Assessment at The Open University (UK) and Dr. Qian Kan (阚茜), Director of the Online Confucius Institute at The Open University (UK). Professor Jinlan Tang (唐锦兰), Dean of the Institute of Online Education at Beijing Foreign Studies University (China), later joined the initiative as the local lead in China.
The VE China Hub aims to foster cross-cultural collaboration and inclusive digital learning by connecting educational institutions within China and with global partners through virtual exchange. The vision of the VE China Hub is to build a community of educators and institutions that share best practices and collaborate through virtual exchange activities. If you have conducted research projects on VE, have been involved in a VE with students from a Chinese partner institution, or have relevant Postgraduate qualification, we welcome you to join VE China Hub by contacting [email protected]
