Led by an experienced instructor, YU Feixia, this course introduces the Eight-Form Tai Chi (八式太极拳) - a simple yet powerful sequence combining gentle movement, breathing, and mindful awareness. Suitable for beginners as well as for those wishing to deepen their practice, the eight sessions build gradually to help you develop confidence, balance, and inner calm.

Each session includes an optional 10-minute introduction to seasonal Daoyin (导引) exercises, inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine and Daoist practices. These movements align your body’s energy (Qi) with natural rhythms to support wellbeing. You are free to leave after the first 30 minutes’ Tai Chi practice.

What you will gain:

· A complete 8-movement Tai Chi routine for daily practice

· Improved balance, posture, relaxation, and focus

· Eight seasonal Daoyin movements for energy alignment

· An introduction to key Chinese health concepts (Qi, Yin–Yang)

· Supporting materials for home practice

· A welcoming and supportive learning community

Tai Chi is widely recognised for its benefits in improving balance (as shown in a recent BBC What’s up docs podcast) and overall wellbeing. We warmly invite you to join us and experience its lasting effects.

We look forward to practising with you!
